Burning a DVD on a Mac

This will walk you through the necessary steps to burn a DVD on your Mac.

STEP 1: Insert a blank disc

You will want to insert a blank disc into your drive. A window will automatically pop up prompting you for an action for the DVD. Just click "Ignore".


STEP 2: Start Disk Utility

You can open "Disk Utility" by going to Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility


Step 3: Open Disk Image

Once you have "Disk Utility" open you will want to go to File -> Open Disk Image


STEP 4: Select ISO to burn

Select ISO from wherever you have saved it on your computer. Unless you have changed the default, the file will be located in your "Downloads" folder.


STEP 5: Locate File in Disk Utility

In the list of volumes, you will now see an item representing the ISO file. Select it.


Step 4: Click the Burn button

Select the "Burn" icon at the top of the screen and follow the onscreen instructions.
